Steve Schindler and Juan Santiago, friends in San Diego, were complaining early in 2004 about how much of a pain it was to search classifieds online. They didn't like having to waste time navigating to several sites when they were searching for something online.
When Steve and Juan first started discussing the idea behind GoSasa.com, eBay was the only thing remotely resembling the concept. What Steve and Juan didn't like was that eBay, like many other classified sites, was a walled garden, only allowing visitors to its site the opportunity to connect with an eBay buyer or seller. No outsiders allowed!
Steve and Juan's idea was to overcome the walls between all these separate classified listings sites and create a single environment to access both online and local newspaper classifieds. They believed that users of the Internet would appreciate access to a single source that would index content from a broad range of traditional and online classified listings sites into a simple-to-use single interface.
Much like Steve's helpful dog, Sasa, Steve and Juan's new classifieds search site would seek out and find just about anything the searcher wanted, anytime anywhere. With that, GoSasa's business concept and development began in 2004.
GoSasa started as a simple idea - to make classifieds searching easier. But Steve and Juan didn't stop there. The friends realized that providing statistical tools could help users make more informed decisions regarding their career, their home, their car and just about anything else they were looking for. With that they decided to develop SasaIndex, a powerful statistical intelligence site providing GoSasa registered users with tools to empower their classified purchase and employment decisions.
Today, GoSasa and SasaIndex provide users with classified listings and relevant intelligence from the broadest selection of affiliate classified sites on the web.
